The university expands access to education through quotas and grants, its own scholarship programs, practice-oriented learning, providing dormitories, supporting student and entrepreneurial initiatives, and linking education with economic demands and regional development.
Sustainable environment
The university develops conditions aimed at ensuring equal access to education, social adaptation, and full participation of students in academic life.
An important part of the university environment is the dormitory as an element of social support for students, contributing to the accessibility of education and reducing household barriers.

Research
Research focus on projects and publications on sustainable regional development, natural resource management, industrial efficiency, ESG, human capital, digital tools for the economy, and projects affecting employment and territorial sustainability.
A notable example is the international water purification project using plasma technologies and access to drinking water, Grant Agreement No. 101131382 “Multifunctional sustainable adsorbents for water treatment assisted with plasma technologies and for health protection from xenobiotics” (CLEANWATER)
Education
The university’s contribution to achieving SDG 1 is manifested not only through educational programs but also through financial accessibility. Satbayev University offers scholarship and grant opportunities, including support measures for socially vulnerable categories of students, excellent students, winners of olympiads, competitions, intellectual games, tournaments, and sports championships, for example, the republican intellectual game “Young Satpayev”, the named scholarship named after Academician Zh.M. Adilov. The university has regulations on the provision of grants, discounts, and financial incentives for students, including through grants from the “Qazaqstan Khalkyna” Foundation and other support programs. In 2025, 347 students received university educational grants.
